1993 Range Rover LWB
Pursuit 4.6 and numerous upgrades
This LWB (long wheelbase) Range Rover is here at ECR for the full on/ off road treatment. In this phase of the project we will be installing everything from a 275 HP Pursuit 4.6 engine to ARB air lockers front and rear, bumpers and more.
Here the old worn 4.2 engine is being removed and some of the upgrades have been installed, such as the Warn 10,000 winch, ARB winch mount bull bar and more.
This is the Pursuit 4.6 installed neatly in the engine bay. Notice that the 275 HP monster looks and fits identical to the stock Rover V8. No modifications are needed to the Range Rover to fit the 4.6. This will make those long hill climbs loaded down with gear effortless and any off road torque needed will be easily handled by the 302 ft. lbs of torque.
Supercharger? We don't need no stinking supercharger! We have new, reliable, quiet, 275 HP with 302 ft. lbs of torque that is correctly fueled and has long term reliablity! Superchargers put out a max of 225 hp and they have this nasty tendancy to blow up engines. Yikes!
This Rover also gets ARB air lockers front and rear as well as tire fill off the compressor. Shown here.
Don't forget that the install of your ARB air lockers should compliment your Rover both in its off road ability, and its interior. Shown here is ECR's console mounting of the ARB controls. Don't let someone stick ugly switches in your Rover. Have the entire sytem done right, from differential to interior, at ECR.
For a little extra punch we added a high volume K&N filter and a Mallory distributor (shown above). This Range Rover will now be able to tow almost anything and will run on the highway at speed and up steep passes with ease even, with the roof rack loaded to the limit!
This image shows at lot of ECR equipment that is rarely seen, but often needed. Hidden under the front end of this Range Rover is our steering stabilizer relocation kit, our HD drag link, our tie rod guard and a front diff. guard. That makes your steering system almost bulletproof when going off road.
Here is the completed project, loaded and ready to head out on vacation or to Baja! The list of upgrades that ECR can hanlde for you is incredible.
